Thingiverse Vs Printables

Thingiverse Vs Printables - Their paid model section is relatively new and fairly sparse still. If i'm looking for something specific i will go to thangs and search as it's a meta search engine as well as being a host for models. I love that they automated the thingiverse import! Then it wouldn't let me post my remixes. From beginners to professionals, we come together to teach, learn, and share everything about screenwriting. Thingiverse does allow for tipping through paypal, which is nice.

From beginners to professionals, we come together to teach, learn, and share everything about screenwriting. I had trouble even creating an account over there (wouldn't send the email verification for months). That said, i would strongly suggest making keyword based searches a prominent part of how people work with the site.

Thingiverse Vs Printables - Yeggi is rather new to me. That said, i would strongly suggest making keyword based searches a prominent part of how people work with the site. I love that they automated the thingiverse import! Sorta like searching for fidget spinner and sorting by popular (just an example, it is understandable why the results are what they are in that case). I had trouble even creating an account over there (wouldn't send the email verification for months). Thingiverse was the old school answer which was fine, but it started to languish for a long time.

Otherwise i usually start on printables, then thingiverse, then cults (which i don't like as much due to it being mainly paid models)

So Start On Printables If You Don.

First Thingiverse, Second Printables, Third Stlfinder.

A long came printables and it was a breath of fresh air in comparison to the very 90s thingiverse (in my book). That said, i would strongly suggest making keyword based searches a prominent part of how people work with the site. Sorta like searching for fidget spinner and sorting by popular (just an example, it is understandable why the results are what they are in that case). Printables is now my absolute goto and i rarely need to go elsewhere.

Yeggi is rather new to me. Printables has a gamification angle for participating on the site, where points turn into filament tied into their eshop. I've started using printables and will avoid thingiverse going forward. I tried filtering out the results i was getting by using negative terms, which printables allows and most other search engines support, and it changed nothing.
